What is a natural remedy for hair loss, to stop thinning of hair?

   After many years of research and self experimentation this was the only natural treatment I found that stops thinning and loss almost straight away and also produces new growth. My hair has completely regrown on crown….over a period of months. Where receded at front regrowth has been slower, but has virtually grown back to original hair line and though sparse at beginning, each month it became denser. Massage thoroughly with natural oils – olive oil is excellent – then using a palm held short bristled brush (soft natural boar bristles) brush vigorously so you really feel it stimulating scalp (90 /100 strokes or even more each day focusing on where loss is). After scalp adjusts you can increase brushing to 150 strokes. Will unplug blocked hair ducts indicated by painful small spots like pimples and a cause of hair loss and It will grow faster, thicker and It will force the new growth. Brushing before you apply oil is equally OK. A little shedding and breakage may occur at first but quickly stops as hair gets better anchored and stronger. Initially hairs will be weak looking and sparse. Don't be concerned if brushing uproots them as they will re-appear even stronger. It demands perseverance week in, week out to get the same results. I've found most do not persevere and so fail to get them. But have heard from some who have had equal if not better success.
   Genetics probably are a factor in hair loss. My immediate family members have severe loss. I believe this treatment saved me from the same fate. Try it you will be happy that you did!

   I was told that coconut oil is good. Also, something we call Romero Oil, which is Rosemary oil. People in the Caribbean use this product a lot.

   There are many reasons for hair loss.

   diet might be one of them, so having more raw foods, less processed food, some filtered wild fish oil (for the great omega 3's and better capillary circulation, though it will also help lessen free radicals and since toxins can contribute to loosing hair and it helps lots of other things in the body so good to add.)
   Balding can be hereditary.
   Caused from low thyroid and other body imbalances.
   Stress can be cause for balding as well.

   For hair loss you can try this remedy. Mix 1 egg, 2.5 tablespoons milk powder and 1 tablespoon wheat germ oil. Massage on the scalp and leave it for 30 minutes. Wash with a mild shampoo.

   I've researched natural solutions to fighting hair loss for over 12 years. I even entered the medical profession with one goal: Figure out how to reverse hair loss. So I became a practicer of orthomolecular medicine.

   I have a full head of hair thanks to my regimen and my obsession for keeping my hair.

   Hair loss is a result of oxidative stress (think free radicals) and insulin resistance, which is brought on by our highly refined and processed foods.

   Most oils found in products and even in cooking are not only soups of free radicals, but moreover, highly inflammatory, which raises the enzyme (5-alpha reductase) which increases circulating DHT.

   Further, refined grains, starches, pasteurized milk, and sugars elevated blood sugar. The higher you elevate blood sugar, the more DHT you make.

   Fortunately, there are two primary ways to combat this.

   First, very powerful antioxidants are needed to put the brakes on insulin resistance, but only a few kinds are strong enough to satisfy this requirement. My favorite is called Ecklonia cava, which is a brown sea algae known as Seanol. It is estimated that Seanol is up to a hundred times more powerful than green tea polyphenols. Seanol inhibits an enzyme that breaks down hair follicles, called matrix metallopeptidase 9.

   Another very vital component is compensating for an imbalance of Omega 6 & Omega 3 fatty acids. Switching from grain-fed to grass-fed will help in the meat department, while switching from vegetable oils to olive and coconut oil will help in the fat/oil department.

   It's also highly advisable to reduce your consumption of simple carbohydrates, such as cereals, breads, etc, as these types of foods increase insulin growth factor-1, which is what brings on DHT.
