Since Christmas I have gained over 2 stone, have had hair loss at the temples, been extremely tired, could sleep all day and night. My skin is dry on my face and hands no matter how much I moisturise them. My Doc took blood which came back clear. I am 47 female and have been on HRT for 14 yrs. I eat organic healthy food, excerise daily walking over 10,000 steps (using a pedometer to moniter my calorie burn ) and yet have gained weight.. what can be wrong..
I feel awful, fuzzy headed, grumpy, and depressed.

I'm 40 years old.
Hot flashes, mood swings, anxiety/fear, heart palpitations, nervousness, insomnia, digestive problems, heavy periods with clotting, hair loss, getting 1 giant pimple the size of a dime each month, dry skin, and generally feeling frustrated and hopeless? Tell me I'm not losing my mind… so I can tell my husband his wife is not going insane.
I just started hormone replacement and I was hoping I'd feel better quicker. How long do you suppose this will last? It probably started much earlier, but since I was on anti-depressants for so long, I didn't feel the effects of most of these symptoms. Thanks

I read of the box of extenze that it is not intended for pregnant or nursing women. Also that women may experience facial hair growth, hair loss, acne, irritability, aggressiveness, increase in estrogen. If the product is for men, why is there advise on the box pertaining to women taking it. I have read that women can take the male viagra although the womens viagra is recommended.

Please, I'd like answers from people who experienced this as opposed to cut and paste from medical sites
I have an appt with the doctor soon, but I am fairly sure this is what's going on (my mother, grandmother and great aunt all experienced it around 40-41 and I am 37).
My question deals with some of the symptoms…did your hot flashes usually occur shortly before periods?
Also, with hair loss…how bad was it and how much? I seem to be having the same kind of amount that I did after my son was born, but I am wondering how long that lasts and how much actually comes out!

2 doctors I have seen diagnosed my hair loss, however, I keep losing it. I have just begun HRT and the only other prescription meds I take is for high blood pressure. My hair loss has been going on for 19 months. There is almost a complete circle around the middle of my head where the hair loss is occurring

I'm wondering if I might be going through menopause…I'm only 31 but for the last seven months I have been having major physical issues. My mom and my grandmother didn't go through menopause until their 60's and none of my sisters have experienced any of these symptoms but I'm not sure what else it could be. My symptoms are these: hair loss, weight loss/gain (it constantly fluctuates), haven't had my period in seven months, facial hair growth (a lot of it!!), hot flashes and constant acne.
I talked to a doctor about this four months ago and he told me it was stress. But I'm not stressed, I have nothing (except this) to worry me! I'm really starting to get concerned especially because my husband and I want to start a family. Can anyone help??

I've been getting terrible night sweats for 2 years. I've considered every possibility and nothing seems to be causing them. My doctor did a thyroid btest and I went for a thyroid ultrasound and everything is fine. I've had every blood test from HIV to hepatitis and all are negative.
I've ruled out the obvious (too many blankets, hot room, etc). Even with a light blanket I wake up in the middle of the night soaked from head to toe & so is the bed. This happens about 3-5 night/ week. My husbands says I'm a human hot water bottle and he can feel how hot I am if he touches me while I'm sleeping.
I'm SO tired of changing sheets and waking up in the middle of the night freezing from my bed being soaked with sweat.
I take a couple medications: Paxil daily, Benadryl or sudafed sometimes. It doesn't matter what I take as the night swears seem to happen randomly.
Haven't had hormone levels tested yet, but I know I'm NOT having early menopause as my cycles are normal. BTW, I'm 34 yrs old.
Also, I have hair loss and regrowth all over my head. No baldness patterns and lots of hair regrowth, but it's still falling out. I don't know if hair loss & night sweats are related.
