    • Related posts brought to you by Yet Another Related Posts Plugin.]]>     Hello! I've been on the mini-pill since having my first child 18 months ago. Since then I have experienced the not so wonderful side effects such as hair loss, oily scalp, acne & a COMPLETE loss of my sex drive.

    I'm trying to make the decision whether or not to go off of the pill and resort to the Fertility Awareness Method along with the use of condoms or abstenence during my fertile time. My question: Does the mini-pill alter my natural cycle? meaning when I stop taking it will my current cycle change making it difficult or impossible for me to use this method effectively? I really am not ready for another child right now, however I would like to start trying again about this time next year. Am I taking too much of a risk of getting pregnant if I try this or should I just continue to take the pill and deal with these awful side effects?

    Also, I can' be on any form of birth control that contains estrogen, that leaves me with no other option besides Fertility Awareness.
