I am 30 yrs old and I have PCOD. This makes it impossibly difficult for me to stay on a diet and exercise routine. I have to lose 100 pounds so that I can hopefully soon conceive. Recently, I lost 5 pounds in a matter of a week by staying on a diet consisting of fruits, steamed vegetables, fish, chicken, etc. I briskly walked on the treadmill for 30 mins once a day. But sooner or later I always fall off the wagon, and that's where I'm stuck. To top that, I have a voracious sweet tooth.

Its so hard for me to get back to exercising. And if I don't exercise, I make very poor food choices. Its a vicious cycle I cant seem to break from.
Is there anyone who was or is in the same situation? How did you overcome it? How did you lose the weight? The hormonal imbalance I'm plagued with (no estrogen and an overload of testosterone) has given me other symptoms such as excessive hair-loss and facial hair. I feel disgustingly fat, ugly, and completely hopeless.

What are some good weight-loss pills I could use (for a placebo effect)or something else that will aid in my weight-loss struggle? Please help. I am desperate and at the end of my tether. Thanks so much.

I have just read an interesting answer that DHT (testosterone) is responsible for hair loss because it blocks the hair follicles thus stopping hair from growing/choking off the follicles. Well i'm a 22 year old female experiencing some hair loss after having my son almost 2 years ago. I realize that at first it's normal to have excessive hair loss after the birth of a child because of all the hormones but it has not returned to my pre pregnancy state. My hair extremely thin and my scalp is even visible.

My question is how can i eliminate testosterone from my body and when i do will that prevent hair loss or restore the hair that i have lost? Does increasing estrogen mean decreasing testosterone and if it does how can i increase estrogen? Which is easier. Someone mentioned on here that Oat grass will help lower testosterone levels?

i'd really like my thick healthy hair again as opposed to being half bald and having thin disgusting damaged hair at just 22.
