When I was nursing, my sex life got all screwed up. Didn't help that my milk would come down whenever I got sexually aroused. What a mess!

Because you're breast feeding you really don't want to take any medicines or hormonal creams or anything that might end up in your milk. For the short term try some over the counter lubricants, like K-Y. That should help with the dryness. And even though you have less time than ever now that there is a baby in the house, don't let your partner short-change you on the foreplay!

Good luck, I hope you're feeling more like yourself soon.

I'd suggest trying some over the counter vaginal moisturizers. There are some newer products out that last longer (up to four days) that are made for women experiencing vaginal dryness and pain during sex. One is by K-Y and it's called Liquibeads.

If you're still having problems after you finish weaning your baby, go back to your doctor; the hormone shifts that we women go through can be miserable, but they should not be simply tolerated.

Good luck.
